About the opportunity

The Forum Secretariat is looking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced individual to the role of Research Officer - Communications, based in Suva, Fiji.  The incumbent, under the supervision of the Communication Adviser, will be supporting the Public Affairs team with a focus on website content management, research and news drafting. Some key areas of responsibility will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Create communications products with a focus on design and multimedia;
  • Support creation & management of content for PIFS website & social media;
  • Monitoring, research and analysis of PIFS Communications products; and
  • Administration support

We are looking for candidates with a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Multimedia, International Relations or Journalism with at least at least five years of relevant work experience in the media, private sector or development, with a focus on content creation & management.

Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines, have strong international & regional level in research and analytical skills, the ability of graphic design and in layout and with video production and editing experience, and to draft research reports when required on key deliverables.

About the benefits

The appointments carries a remuneration package between FJD30,293 to FJD45,439  (dependent upon qualifications and experience).  The benefits package includes medical and life insurance.
